W. Wayne Weston, MD, CCFP, FCFP

W. Wayne Weston is Professor Emeritus of Family Medicine at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario. He is Co-Director of the Group for Advocacy and Advancement of Medical/Dental Education Scholarship and Chair of the Canadian Operating Committee of the Institute for Healthcare Communication. His academic interests are in faculty development, patient-physician communication and medical education especially clinical teaching. He is author or co-author of 174 publications including two books on patient-centered medicine and has led over 300 workshops for faculty and residents. He has won numerous awards for teaching including four national awards.
