Bio - Marshall Godwin
Marshall Godwin, MD, MSc, FCFP
St. John's, NL
Marshall Godwin is a professor of Family Medicine at Memorial University and director of the Primary Healthcare Research Unit. His research interests include hypertension, care of the elderly, and chronic disease. He has written 69 journal articles, 2 books and 3 book chapters. He currently holds research grants from CIHR and Heart and Stroke Foundation.Dr. Godwin also worked in rural practice for 8 years prior to moving St. John’s, NL with the Discipline of Family Medicine at Memorial University in 1987. In 1993 he moved to Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario as Director of the Centre for Studies in Primary Care. In 2005, he moved back to Memorial University to take up his current position.
